The Birth of Tūtahi Security – Building the Force

Every big idea starts with a simple kōrero. For us, the spark for Tūtahi Security came from a casual chat with a bro in the industry — a specialist who lives and breathes security mahi.
It went something like this:
Me: “Bro, if I open a Security arm under Tūtahi, would you cover Auckland?”Him: “Say less. I’m in.”Me: “Too easy. I’ve got contacts in other places, and you’ve got your own. We’ll start lining them up as the contracts come through.”Him: “Line ‘em up, we’ll knock ‘em down.”
And just like that, the seed was planted.

Why Security?
Tūtahi NetWorks has always been about kotahitanga — unity through connection. We’ve built divisions in visuals, music, kai, and more. The next logical step was security — a space where small Kiwi providers often struggle to compete with the big corporates.
The vision for Tūtahi Security is simple:
Connect trusted small Kiwi security businesses into one strong network.
Offer a full list of services — from personal protection to construction statics, event security, and even recovery work.
Run everything through one system: clear contracts, fair pay, and collective strength.
This way, the small players stay independent, keep their mana, and still gain the reach and opportunities of being part of something bigger.
Where We’re At
We’ve already locked in a trusted provider in Auckland, giving us a strong starting point. Right now, we can already offer:
Personal security & protection
Event security
Construction site statics
Bar & venue security
Recovery work
That’s the beginning of the service list, and it will only grow as more providers join the network.
The expansion path is clear:
Auckland – locked in, services already rolling.
Hamilton – next stop.
Wellington – after that.
Every new provider strengthens the Force.

The Bigger Picture
This isn’t just about guards at doors or patrol cars on the road. It’s about:
Creating a network that empowers small Kiwi businesses.
Building opportunities that go beyond security, into events, entertainment, and community safety.
Laying down a system where trust, fairness, and kotahitanga guide how we work.
We don’t just want to be in the security industry — we want to change how it operates, making space for the small operators to stand tall.

The Force Grows
From a casual chat to a division in motion — Tūtahi Security is born. The foundation is set, Auckland is already active, and Hamilton is next on the path.
Like any wharenui, each pou (pillar) strengthens the house. Tūtahi NetWorks is that house, and our security partners are the pou standing tall. Together, we’re building something bigger than ourselves.
The Force is moving. ⚔️
